ENERGY FUTURES NETWORK

CO2 emissions are a serious issue for the energy sector. Watch this space for more information about what The Energy Futures Network is planning with respect to this issue.

We are in the process of planning a follow up event to the one described below in Aspen,Colorado from April 9 - 11, 2008. As we do so, we will update this feature of the site with more information.

Background

1.     The former EnergyINet staff and a select consulting team…managed, produced and convened the first “Clean Carbon Economy Innovation Forum” (CCEIF), during the week of 21-24 March 2007 in Kananaskis, Alberta, which included approximately eighty (80) senior level managers from energy, financial and governmental sectors. This event  was entitled Making the Case for an Integrated Clean Carbon Economy in Western North America”.

2.     The “Challenge Dialogue”  engaged senior decision makers from a full spectrum of constituent commercial interests (and market segments of the North American Energy Economy) in a direct dialogue about...critical business, investment and regulatory issues and decisions required in order to facilitate clean energy systems deployment -- and integration with carbon management programs.

3.     This first CCEIF event proved to be sufficiently compelling [in terms of focus, format and strategic vision to prompt several participating companies to request that we (The Energy Futures Network) produce a follow-on program – which they would financially support.  CCEIF II is scheduled for Aspen, Colorado on 9-11 May 2008.
